Whilst we didn’t know it at the time, Roda was born in the spring of 2022 during a workshop with the operations team of a digital technology agency. An exploration of how to drive consistent product quality led us to build a flywheel showing the repeatable steps that each needed to ensure quality. It was just a small step to define the measurable outcomes and activity at each step, and so the core of Roda - the flywheel as a tool for strategy delivery - had emerged.
At first, we saw the model we had created simply as a tool we could use with our consulting clients. However, the more we used it with clients, and the more strongly it resonated with them, the clearer we saw the potential to build a digital tool that would not only embed the model into the organisation’s operating systems but allow more people to build their own flywheels to drive success.
The visual nature of the flywheel makes it a powerful tool for communicating the key repeatable steps you need to take to achieve your goals. Easy to build, easy to understand, easy to use.
After ‘soft testing’ the idea of building a digital version of the tool we had created, and getting hugely positive feedback, we decided to invest some time and money in undergoing a ‘discovery’ process with a technology partner (Gravitywell) who could not only challenge our assumptions, but help us to develop a clear vision and roadmap for the product, and create the technical solution.
We have now completed that process and developed a clear vision and plan for Roda. We know what we want to build, and how we're going to do it.
We have also raised the investment needed to bring it to the market.
In early 2024, Roda will be live.
